Cryptocurrency firms operating in member states of the European Union will be required to enhance their cybersecurity and risk management as the economic bloc implements the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). Effective from January 17, DORA introduces a comprehensive and harmonized regulatory framework aimed at improving the digital operational resilience of financial institutions and crypto firms within the EU. The regulation seeks to address inconsistencies and gaps in cyber risk management across the bloc, marking a significant step towards strengthening the cybersecurity infrastructure of financial entities.
